Villarica's owner and manager Jack Milbank, was awarded a Nuffield Scholarships for 2006/7 kindly supported by the Sylvia and Charles Viertel Charitable Foundation, which involved 4 months of study around the world. Jack's study topic was :

"Globally competitive horticultural production processing and marketing with a net benefit on farm ecology and regional environment utilizing renewable energy"
